I’ve been a physician blogger since 2007. My interest in COVID began when patients and family began asking me questions early in the pandemic. Because I’m also a medical researcher with many scientific publications, I began doing what I do, which is to research all topics. What I found generally didn’t agree with the media narratives. At first that startled me, but as time went on, I began to see that most of what the media was reporting about COVID day in and out was wrong or exaggerated. Hence, I began to blog on COVID on my usual platform, but as this topic took on a life of it’s own, I knew that it needed a platform all to itself, which is how this web-site was born.
My day job is a physician who helps patients avoid orthopedic surgery. I helped to found a new medical specialty known as interventional orthobiologics, which uses platelet and stem cell injections with precise imaging guidance to help parts of the damaged musculoskeletal system heal. My usual blog on those topics is located at: https://regenexx.com/blog/ I am the founder of a company that has about 70 US sites that works with employers to substitute these advanced injection based procedures for orthopedic surgery, which helps those companies improve their healthcare choices for their employees and save money.
